More about Ebony Malaika Collier, visual artist

In late 2016, she started exploring working with digital tools. She downloads free and/or inexpensive apps for her smartphone and works on art in those. She adds the finishing touches in Adobe Photoshop. As of Summer 2017, her digital works have been shown in the following Philadelphia, PA galleries: Goldilocks, DaVinci Art Alliance, and Off the Wall Gallery at Dirty Frank's Bar.

Working with smartphone apps allows her to work on art at any time or place. She manipulates and plays with colors in a way that is different than in manual media. Rather quickly, due to the toxic political environment of the United States which degenerates daily, her work has taken a political bent.
